Michael Droberg
Bio
Michael Droberg is a retired U.S. Marine turned award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker. Originally from Nanuet, New York, he enlisted in the Marine Corps at 17 and served for over 22 years in roles ranging from Communications Electronics Maintenance Chief and Casualty Officer to Training Chief and Curriculum Developer. His military career took him across the globe, including combat deployment during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009 that shaped the discipline and worldview that now define his storytelling.
After retiring in 2016, Michael studied film at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and earned a B.A. in Business Administration from American Military University. He has since dedicated himself full-time to screenwriting and independent film production. His scripts have placed in top competitions including the Christian Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, Screencraft, Scriptapalooza, Shore Scripts, and Talentville.
Michael is the founder of 10th Legion Pictures and co-creator of the popular YouTube series Forgotten History. He lives in Stella, North Carolina with his wife and three children, where they enjoy coastal living and creating content that blends bold storytelling with cinematic grit.
